As it has been four years since the last one, planning has started for a street party on Saturday 4th June.
Road Closure
As usual, it is planned to close the road for the whole day while the party takes place. Even if you are not planning to come to the party, we hope you will understand the need to close the road. However if anyone does have any questions or concerns about this could they please make contact using the form below.

Whist the events have still to be finalised, here is is a list of activities from previous years, likely to be repeated.
Children’s Activities
Free Play
– With the road closed in the morning there will be opportunity for children to play in the car free street.

– Following the success of this event at previous 5 street parties it is likely that we will do this again.

Games

Afternoon Tea
Afternoon tea and cakes will be provided. Any offers to bake cakes for this will be gratefully accepted!
Evening Meal
The evening meal will be provided and is included in the cost of the ticket. While a final decision is yet to be made, it is likely to be something like curry.
Entertainment
Open Mike / Talent competition This will be the chance to discover what hidden talent there is in the avenue!
Dancing The main evening entertainment will certainly include music and dancing. More details will follow in subsequent newsletters.
Tickets
In order to fully participate in the party, you will need to buy a ticket. More details about the price are to follow. The price of the ticket aims to cover the costs involved and includes all the entertainment, and the evening meal. We strongly encourage you to buy the tickets at least one week before the party. Not only will that help us with planning, but after that date there will be a small increase in the price.
